The Orange County Alcohol and Other Drugs Study is a random-digit dial survey of adults in Orange County funded by the County of Orange Health Care Agency and conducted every ten years. The Study provides data on alcohol and drug use among adults in Orange County that informs the County of Orange Health Care Agency’s Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Team’s education and training programs. Interviews are conducted in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese languages, and the sampling frame includes both cell and landline telephone components as well as an oversample of the Vietnamese population.
In 2012, SRG was contracted to conduct this study, and was primarily responsible for survey instrument translation, data collection, data cleaning, and creating weights using iterative proportional fitting techniques (raking). The sample size for this study is approximately 2,800 interviews.
